Visit to Bund and the Nanjing Lu . . .
So my Shanghai trip is about to end so this is the last week end and then by next week I will be back to Namma Bengaluru ![]()
Actually, my friend Ravi(a.k.a DEAL) along with one of his colleague came to Shanghai for a visit. So we went to the famous and the regular tourist spot in Shanghai , The Bund and the Nanjing Road. Infact, by now, we already been to these places so many times. But anyway, this was refreshing. BTW, we captured all the happenings in my New Sony Cam
Trip to Suzhou . . .
So the week long holiday, started with the train journey from Shanghai to a near by city called Suzhou. When we arrived, it was raining, so need to stand in a long Q for the taxi. Finally, we got one and we headed towards Deal’s apartment. It’s in Suzhou industrial area. On the way, the city looked very nice, green and full of lights ![]()
Next day, we went to a tourist spot called Tiger Hill.

We still remember that thing written in an add on the walls of Railway station,
“‘It is a lifelong pity if having visited Suzhou, you did not visit Tiger Hill”

Finally, a trip to Hangzhou !
After 6 months of planning, finally we did it !
Trip to Hangzhou ![]()
Yes, we have been planning for this from past 6 months or so.
Hangzhou, well, is not a new kind of place. Atleast for those who have been to places like Kodaikanal, Madikeri, Munnar etc. Anyway, from the cement forest(Shanghai), it will be nice to visit this kind of place once in a while. Thanks to my Chinese colleague (Liu Lei). She helped us to book a Buick(which can hold upto 10 people) and also became our tour guide.
Hangzhou is about 180KM from Shanghai (i.e. around 2.5 hrs of journey).
All an all a nice trip and a good start to 1 Week Labor Day holiday.
Never ending weekends in Shanghai !
Weekends are really becoming boring. Till last week it was very cold out side.. Now the whether is OK but even then we rarely go out. But today we went(again!) to (more…)

After this we went to Xin Tian Di where we just roamed around for 1 hour (really!) and then went to Nanjing Lu.
