(NOT Kate Winslet.. LOL ) It’s “KDE Advanced Text Editor”…Actually I stopped using VI after I started logging into KDE (even on RedHat).Before that I was using GNOME.
Let me tell u something about KATE. Nothing special though !
It has a MDI(Multiple Document Interface), means u can access more than one file on a single window (See these screen shot).You can have terminal for quick compilation.And most IMP of all, it has a Highlight Mode for almost all major scripting languages including C,C++,PHP,JAVA… etc.This doesn’t mean I entirely stopped using VI.
