I am in Chicago land area, USA. First of all I would like to say that I am glad to have hit upon your website.

I have tried unsuccessfully to work on building vnode on an obscure version of mandrake but failed and gave up on clearcase installation on linux on a VM package on my desktop. The main purpose of that was to learn and enhance my career, but i had to give it up (this was last year)frustrated.

I am keen to do it again and have installed the VM but am hessitant to install linux fearing that I might end up experiencing the same as last year.

Could you kindly guide me on what version and flavor of linux could I install and of course I would also be needing some instructions on the vnode stuff and all that.
I would be grateful to you for your help.
