I have the same laptop and I just bought it a few days ago. It is very slow to open up any program and it freezes many times making me re-boot. Is this a major problem with this notebook? Also, I need to find the .dll called “extendedoem.dll”. Have a great day.

Dont know if you still have the Dv 1000 laptop. I need recovery CDs to rescue my system!! I can’t boot from recovery partition…

Hi Kriti,
One of my frined has bought “Compaq Presario V2000″ which I saw has same feature as DV1000.. infact, when I bought this notbook I had searched HP website, but this model was not there in Indian market. Also I think Compaq and HP are having join ventures in the Laptops so may be you can try Presario V2000.
