- Some of my old karaoke
Some of my friends wanted to know how to record your own songs with the karaoke available on the Internet.
Here is some information.
First you need some audio recording software like Cooledit or goldwave.
Please install any one of the above software and try to record some audio files using your Microphone. Once you are comfortable with this. Now, you can try to download Karaoke music tracks.
If you are lucky, you may get some MP3 Karaoke’s. For this, you just start playing the Karaoke in your favorite player. Now open Audio Settings–> then Recording options –> select recording source as both “WAVE” and “MICROPHONE”. Now try to record this combination in Cooledit/goldwave. Hopefully, you may get a sound file in which your voice is well mixed with the Karaoke music track.
Now, as with the current geetnet.com, they not allowing to download Karaokes. No problem, what you can do is, open the webpage and start playing. Do the same as above i.e. select WAVE and MICROPHONE in the recording option of your sound settings.
In worst case, sound card of your PC is capable of recording the data only from one source at a time (this happened with my laptop). For this case, only thing you can do is play the karoake song from other PC/Laptop and use only MICROPHONE as a recording source. This will record both the karaoke trac as well as your voice data.
If you you are using cooledit, you can amplify the recording (may be around 100DB boost). Next, try using some Hiss/noice reduction (there is one option to do that) option. Then you can even give some ECHO effect (I used Stereo Type-2 option available in the cooledit)
Hope this helps to try out your own karaokes ! ! !
Have a nice day
